Women’s Health
It is good to be you, It is good to be a woman, it is even better to be a woman looked after at Hammond Park Family Practice we look after all aspects of your health, having 5 female doctors in our team working from 8am till 11pm weekdays and from 9am till 8pm weekends makes it even more convenient to you to come and sort any gynaecological problem from pap smears, breast examination ,contraception consult or even gynaecological emergencies we will be there to help you.

Other services that we can help you with include:

We pride our service on offering a thorough skin check and do some of the complicated skin cancer surgery required at Hammond Park Family Practice.

We are known to be one of the most kids friendly practice, we are proud to keep offering the same service of a thorough health check, keeping record of your child’s weight and height to share those moments seeing your kids growing and to discover if any health issues will come to surface early, with our doctors since we started 3 years ago still consulting from the premises, we enjoy watching the community growing and that’s brings a smile on our face.

We now also offer a walk in clinic anytime of the opening hours for sick children

Immunisation
We pride ourselves on the 96% score of our patients immunised and one of the best practices recognised by the government for immunisation standards and statistics.

We have 2 highly trained child friendly nurses available 5 days a week for your child’s required immunisations.

Chronic disease management
Chronic disease definition does vary, but our definition of chronic disease is any health complaint that may bother you for a long time and you can’t find a solution for it. Allergy and Asthma
Autumn ,spring, winter or all year long your allergy and asthma can fluctuate and here at Hammond Park Family Practice we understand your needs and we are here to help and will provide you with a written plan to sort it out so you can take it at home, school or work.

Diabetic Patient Care
Hammond Park Family Practice has participated in the last years with the APCC and the Improvement Foundation to improve our diabetic patient’s outcome, monitor them and prevent complication. We pride ourselves that we have achieve those targets, we will continue to supply a comprehensive diabetes risk assessment so we discover it early, diabetes management with all the preventive measurement we can supply.

Aged care
With population age has been growing, we understand that looking after the elderly people is a must, with understanding how delicate their physical and mental state is, we offer the help with disabled access, instant INR, no out of pocket cost for anything including driving license assessment and minor surgeries, and comprehensive annual health check, and we have just introduced over 65 year old dementia health assessment.

Acute critical care and minor injuries
If you have an emergency, minor injury or trauma feel free to walk in through our door.
7 days a week. We are open everyday of the year except for Christmas day. Will our flexibility and wide range of opening hours we are sure to have one of our doctors to tend you as soon as possible

Allied Health
As we believe in how allied health can complement our service ,we pride ourselves on having a physiotherapist, dietician and psychologist on board and podiatry to join soon. All the allied health professionals bulk bill their patients under the team care plan participation of the GP mental health care plan.

Pathology collection centre
Western diagnostic Pathology supply a superb bulk billing service for all Medicare rebatable test items near our practice.

Pharmacy
Denny and his team at the guardian pharmacy next door ,have been supplying a superb service, since day one we started with their commitment to offer the same extended hour service and all year long except Christmas day and they are been very convenient for all patients.

Teaching and Research
We support Australian future of health and we have been actively doing that by participating in SPNWA research to get control of influenza virus, by teaching UWA students and soon we will be having GP registrars on board.

Results

Our procedure for results are as followed:

URGENT RESULTS– Your Doctor or the Practice Nurse will attempt to contact you immediately via contact details supplied.  If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us urgently for an appointment.

NON URGENT RESULTS- The Nurse will contact you via phone to advise that you need to make an appointment to see your Doctor.  If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.

If your results come back NORMAL we do not contact you to advise you off this. You are welcome to phone us to check if your results have been returned but you will have to make appointment to discuss these results.

At no time are results provided to you over the phone due to confidentiality laws.

Patients are contacted for recalls and reminders. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.

(Confidential information is not included in these letters.) All personal information is stored on a program specific encrypted computer data base system.

PATIENT PHONE CALLS- Patients who call to speak to their doctor will not be put through to the doctor while they are consulting. A message will be noted with the receptionist and as soon as the doctor is avalible he / she will contact you.

REFERALS- You always need an appointment for a referral. Referrals contain clinical information and personal information about a patient and the doctor cannot refer you without an examination first.

PRESCRIPTIONS- We will not accept telephone requests for any prescriptions. You will need to make an appointment to consult with your treating doctor.

DID NOT ATTEND (DNA) AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the high demand for bulk billing appointments and the high number of non-attendances and cancellations for GP appointments, we will charge a fee of $40 per consultation or if a double consult a fee of $80, that is not attended or not cancelled within 4 hours of the appointment time.
If this account is not paid, a letter of suspension of services and the outstanding account will be issued. This letter will see your access to all services suspended until accounts are paid. There may also be the possibility of permanent suspension from the practice at the Doctors’ discretion for repeat offenders.

We have many wasted appointments every day and by introducing this policy we hope patients will consider cancelling their appointments so that others may access them if required.

Dr. Michael Gendy: MBBch, FRACGP












Dr Gendy is a General Practitioner from Egypt. He graduated in 2002 and immigrated to Australia in 2008. He is a family man with a lovely wife and two young children. He is a keen soccer player and enjoys music and dancing. He has done extensive studies in skin cancer and cosmetics.

Dr Gehad Hassanein: MBBCh,MRCGP (UK) ,FRACGP










Dr Gehad Hassanein is a General Practitioner, trained and worked in the UK for 12 years. He completed his General Practice Vocational training in the UK in 2006 and then he worked as a GP in Scotland until August 2012,  when he moved and settled in Perth, Western Australia.



Dr Shiva Sethuraman MBBS, MRCS, MRCGP, FRACGP










Dr Shiva graduated from Manipal University, India and underwent post graduate training in Orthopaedics. Further to this he moved to United Kingdom and he did training in Surgery, Orthopaedics and General Practice. He is a current Member of Royal College of GP in London. He migrated to Australia in 2014 with his wife and two sons. He has done training in Skin cancer from Brisbane University. He has special interest in musculoskeletal and skin cancer.

Dr. Mahbub Talukder: MBBs, AMC, FRACGP










Dr. Talukder is a General Practitioner with a special interest in family health care.

Dr. Reshad Mirnour



Dr. Reshad is a general practitioner with special interest in mental health and skin cancer.

He speaks English, Persian (Farsi) and Azeri-Turkish.
He is also an active research scientist in neuroscience/stroke and besides his career as a GP, he keeps publishing papers in international journals.

Dr. Vinod Nambaiar: MBBs, MRCGP, FRACGP










Dr. Vinod is a General Practitioner from India. He has a special interest in diabetes and family health care. He enjoys travelling and is passionate about photography.

Dr. Gautam Khanna : MBBS ,MRCGP,FRACGP










Dr. Gautam is a qualified GP from UK. His special interest is ENT, paediatric and chronic health. Dr. Gautam works every Thursday.
